6. How long can we hire for? You can hire for as long as your party goes on for, although there is a cut-off point depending on your area. For outside hire we usually we start our collections at 5pm in the north of Sheffield and finish in Chesterfield. We finish our collections outside before dark. You can hire indoors up until 7pm but any later would incur a charge. Some castles are available overnight, check out our overnight castles which are collected from 1pm the next day.

7. What’s included? For a standard bouncy castle hire you will receive 2 mats, a blower, an extension castle and the castle itself. There are optional extras on some castles such as lights and music.

8. What surface can you set up on outside?

  • Grass
  • Artificial grass – We can peg through like we would on grass but many customers don't like that idea. We can use heavy sand bags for one corner of the castle but at least 2 anchor point must be secured to a fix object such as fence posts or extending our ropes to soil ground (please contact us for details as a picture of your garden will be required). Every job is different, please don't hesitate to get in contact so we can discuss what options work best for you.
  • Concrete (not available on weekends) We don't want a castle to blow away, so to secure the castle to concrete we must bolt every anchor point to the ground. We do this by drilling 6 small holes into the concrete and then securing the anchor points of the castle to ground with a masonry bolt. There is an extra charge for drilling and extra mats you will need. We only drill an 8mm wide hole, once we remove the bolts, you'll struggle to notice where they are. We do many pub car parks and School playgrounds by this method. We may be able to work around drilling holes if we can secure the castle to a fixed object around such as fencing, fixed benches or even car wheels next to the castle. Please call 07450911861 or contact us here for more information.

We will NOT set up on

  • Muddy garden – If unsure please send a picture of your garden before you book as we may refuse to set up on the day.
  • Stones/pebbles/bonfire ash - A bouncy castle rubs on the ground when in use, sharp objects will damage the underside of the castle.
  • Sand – Sand is abrasive and may damage the inflatable.
  • Paving - We can't secure a bouncy castle on this surface. Remember a bouncy castle legally needs to be secured to the ground.
  • Concrete/tarmac - Sorry, we can no longer set up on this surface at weekends due to the amount of mats required. Exceptions are made for schools who can use their own PE mats. We will still need to bolt the inflatable down for which there is a small charge. See details above or our Safety page for more details.

9. What if it rains? Don’t worry if it's just light rain as most castles have rain covers and our extensions are weatherproof so you can still go ahead with your party.

Disco castle can not be set up in any rain do to the risk of our electrics getting damaged. In the event of heavy rain we would have to cancel your booking or offer an alternative.

If you wish to cancel due to rain, don't worry any deposits will be refunded.

9.a. What if it's windy? This is the number 1 safety issue in this industry, but it's still something many of our customers are not aware off. We can not legally set up if wind forecast gusts of above 24mph. We anchor all anchor points down so a bouncy castle can't blow away, although we still have to adhere by the 24mph guideline. It is very rare we de have to cancel due to wind speeds but please rest assured we put safety first.

We have seen cases of cowboy companies (usually from Facebook) not securing all the anchor points around the castle, this is not only illegal but very dangerous. Make sure whoever you hire from has secured the bouncy castle using the correct steel pegs and have secured all anchor points (usually 4 or 6 on a standard castle.)

10. What if I need to cancel? If you cancel your booking within 3 weeks of the hire date you will lose your deposit whatever the circumstances may be (unless heavy rain is forecast). You may reschedule your booking.

11. Are they available all year round? Nearly, all inflatables are available 363 days a year, although there is an extra charge or minimum spend on Christmas eve and new years. We are closed on Christmas day and boxing day. Indoor hires only between November and March.

12. What is the age limit? Most castles have an age limit of up to 12 years old. The inflatables are not designed for adult weight, adults use may cause damage and you will be charged. We do allow adults one of the 15x15ft castles as these are manufactured with high walls and a deeper bed. You must let us know if an adult is going to use the castle as the correct blower will need to be provided.

13. Can you set up on a slope? Yes, a slight slope is ok. It may be best to send a picture of your garden to us. contact us here

14. Do you offer discounts? An automatic 10% discount will be taken off at the check out when you hire 2 inflatables. This does not include inflatables in the party extras category. Sorry we don't offer charity discounts.

16. Is there anything I need to do after booking? No, we supply everything you need. All we require is a plug socket. Please make sure you have removed any garden toys or objects where you want the castle to be.

17. How much space do you need? Please check the description of each inflatables space requirements. Most castles are too large to bring through houses or through tight spaces, please get in contact before you book if this is the case. We ideally required 80cm of width from our van to your site. Please let up know if there are any steps, most inflatables can't be lifted over more than 5 steps.
